It is the maximum vertical height to which the pump can discharge water. + See picture
- 3 - What is the suction head?

It is the maximum vertical height between the pump and the vessel containing the condensates, beyond which the pump can no longer suck up water. + See picture
- 4 - What are charged condensates?

When an air conditioning system is in use, the humidity in the air condenses inside the system, thus forming condensates. These condensates are contaminated by all of the various impurities present in the air. For instance, depending on where the air conditioning system is used, the condensates could contain dust, flour (baker’s shop), hair (hair dressing parlour), etc. View the animation: Principle of forming condensates
- 5 - What is the purpose of the vent tube?

The vent tube is necessary to allow air to enter the detector when the pump is sucking up water inside. The float is therefore not limited in its movement. It is recommended to position the pump so that the level of the vent tube is above the level of the water tank, which avoids any leaks through the vent in the case of a condensate removal malfunction.

The SI 1805 and SI 1820 pumps can receive condensates of maximum T = 176°F - pH > 3.4
- 7 - What reference point is used to measure the detection levels of piston pumps?
